Dr. Nima Moainie is a recent graduate of Georgetown/Washington Hospital Center Surgical and Ophthalmic residency in Ophthalmology and
is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He completed his medical training from the University of Maryland. He graduated his undergradaute degree from the University of Virginia. When away from the office, Dr. Moainie enjoys spending time with his family and and sailing, playing tennis, and cycling.
Upon completing his residency Dr. Moainie volunteered with Unite for Sight in Ghana. He has participated in numerous research studies and presented his research at international conferences regarding the use of telemedicine in diagnosing retinal pathology and the mechanism of inflammation in ischemia to the optic nerve . He joined Dr. Friedman's office in March.
